- RICS Level 2 Home Survey

The most popular type of report. Previously called a home buyer report or home buyers survey. Most suitable for more conventional builds not requiring major works.

It is a thorough inspection of the property that highlights defects and presents them in order of priority with a handy traffic light system so you know what aspects of the property need urgent work, what can wait, and what has no issues.

- RICS Level 3 Home Survey

The most comprehensive report. Previously known as a Building Survey. Most suitable for older properties, extended properties or properties requiring works. These provide everything included in a Level 2, but are much more in depth.

The surveyor will look at root causes of potential defects and look at how building materials interact with each other and within the property to uncover potential hidden defects that would not be addressed in a Level 2.
